We are really excited about the mock election on Friday!  You should have recieved a plastic bag which has voter registration cards for each of your students.  Please hand these out before you come to vote becaue we will only "allow" students with valid cards to vote.

Narrative writing scores due tomorrow. Put your scores into the form on the t drive.  Ask a neighbor to help you if you can't find it.

·         Math-we looked at Unit 2 post test options.  We added a few questions to meet the additional advanced standards.   We then checked on pacing and decided on common formative assessment for Friday and summative assessment.
 
  • SS-We discussed branches of govt. assessment and came up with common performance assessment.

We viewed a suicide prevention video.  Fulton County will implement this program at all levels (elementary, middle, high).  Elementary will have  a modified version.

-What is a PLC?  See handout.  Let's work as a team.
-Study guide reminder.  Let's make our geared more toward "what kids should know" instead of a copy of the test.
-Vocab list reminder:  vocabulary list tests.  Administer and review with children.  These are words used in our units.  Go over the vocabulary and then turn in to the office.
-Math assessment issue:
-Training tomorrow-roots of democracy assessment (pull 2/3 students' test if you want to offer suggestions)


Standards Based Report Card:
April Hardy visited us to speak to us about the SBRC.
Think/Talk about:  What is mastery?  How do you know when a student has mastered a standard?
We will no longer have progress skills checklists.
NE (not evaluated) will be used for areas not graded at a specific time.

Send April questions you may have about these report cards.
Action Item:  We need to determine What does mastery look like?  How do you know when a student mastered a standard?  What will we use?

Math-advanced classes need to give the Unit 2 preassessment THIS WEEK!
