Mock Election:
We are really excited about the mock election on Friday!  You should have recieved a plastic bag which has voter registration cards for each of your students.  Please hand these out before you come to vote becaue we will only "allow" students with valid cards to vote.
Just in case you forgot, here is the voting schedule:

Grade Level

Narrative writing scores due tomorrow. Put your scores into the form on the t drive.  Ask a neighbor to help you if you can't find it.
Science lab will be starting so check the schedule for your time.
Report cards go home today.

·          Pacing- look at curriculum map (look at calendar and discuss upcoming end of 9 weeks for writing and reading)

·         ELA – unit 2 informational texts (see curriculum map) We will use the readers during our reading groups.  Bethany has materials we can use for these.  The novel for this unit (And then What Happened Paul Revere) is on order for us and will arrive soon.  Look on pg. 1 of 5 on the Core Curriculum unit to see the non-fiction standards (on the right).

·         Math-we looked at Unit 2 post test options.  We added a few questions to meet the additional advanced standards.   We then checked on pacing and decided on common formative assessment for Friday and summative assessment.
 
  • SS-We discussed branches of govt. assessment and came up with common performance assessment.
